Mommy’s CellPhone Again…

Monday, November 14th, 2011

Daddy has raided Mommy’s phone for today’s daily dose of Dane.  She gets shots that would make Alexander Grahm Bell proud.

This series, we like to call, “spirit animal”.  (Yes, the title is lower case, on purpose.)  We here at TAD (The Adventures of Dane) would like you to take a couple of quiet moments to gaze inside yourself.  You must remain quiet, and calm.  Now, and this could take hours of quiet time, what animal do you see.  This is your spirit animal.

Of course, Dane can not yet talk, but he growls from time to time.  This leads us to believe that his spirit animal is a beast, a beast of prey.  Daddy is saddened, as he hoped it would be a dolphin, or a pelican, or even a unicorn.  Honeybadgers are pretty kick ass.

Do tell. What is the meaning of this?

Dane is taking pictures again.

Hey, where's the rest of me?

A dolphin wouldn't chew on a dog. Can a person change spirit animals?

Dane Crawls

Friday, November 11th, 2011

Well, mostly he just crawls backwards, buton Monday, November 10, the little guy took his first proper forward crawl.  He still likes to stand and hold things, while getting good at the walking motion with his legs.  However, back-crawling (the art of sliding/crawling in reverse) and rolling are his current faves.  Trying to get the kid to stay still on the changing table, with a diaper full of #2 has become a wonderful treat.  Danegerous, for sure!

Dane’s Day at the Park

Monday, November 7th, 2011

This past week was a real treat for Dane, as he got to spend the week with his Grandparents and cousins down the road in Orange County.  He was severely missed by Daddy, but family time is the BEST, and as you will see in future posts, photographic evidence of the week’s festivities were on a steady trickle to Daddy’s phone.

While frolicking behind the Orange Curtain, Dane made a trip to the park for his first solo swinging expidition.  He seemed to enjoy himself and is currently back at home, as happy as ever.

Go Dane!

A little higher, please?

I'm having fun!

Uh yeah, this guy on the ground is following me.

It's not a Harley.

Mommy was also at the park.

Is that my cousin Jack, or Spiderman?

Bye for now! (I'm waving good-bye, in case you couldn't tell.)

Dane and T-bone

Saturday, November 5th, 2011

Trenton has been drafted to teach Dane how to pick up chicks.  We’ve decided to wait two or three years to start the training.

Pretty stinkin' cute!

T-bone was once this small.

Chick magnets!

Trick or Treat

Saturday, November 5th, 2011

Dane’s first Halloween was a Suricata suricatta infused time.  The little guy, as you will see, was miraculously transformed into a meerkat.  The anticipation that filled the air kept Dane from going down for his afternoon nap, and greatly reduced his trick to treat ratio (ttt) numbers.

We did get to a few houses and Daddy was able to feed his sugar addiction.  Thanks Dane.

Goofy is fitting...

Pretzels?

Anybody home?

What were we doing in a graveyard?

Meercat, out!

Dane’s First Swing

Friday, November 4th, 2011

Dane has had a lot of firsts lately.  We’ve seen his first Halloween, first concert, and first family photo, if you want to count that sort of thing.  Stay tuned for future posts.

Dane Can Prevent Forest Fires~~^^

Dane Loves Trees.

The word for the day is misanthrope.  Would Smokey subscribe to misanthropy?

Grandma got me a toy.

This weekend, it was decided that, should Dane’s pro surfing career not pan out, he would focus his interests into environmental engineering. Just thought you might want to know. Go Dane!
