Dane’s Excellent Adventure – Part 3

Friday, August 17th, 2012

Renton, Washington, just outside of Seattle was the next stop on Dane’s wild ride. What a beautiful drive from Bozeman to Seattle? Wow!

Dane hung with some Chihuly art, saw Kurt Cobain’s high school drawings, and ate donuts at Pike Place Market. He asked to see Sleepless in Seattle, but Mommy said no. She was afraid that Dane would go online and look for chicks for his dad too. Go Dane? ;-}

The Age of Aquarius is Dawning

This was it. Dane’s not an Aquarius, he’s those fish. Fishies.

Dane’s first haircut is here for all to see. Isn’t hair kind of weird when you think about it. Not the musical “Hair”, but the stuff that grows out of all kinds of animals. Just something to think about.

This is our first attempt at a silent film here at TAD. We’ve been experiencing with going artsy. That, and the haircut lady had an annoying voice. Let your imaginations go, sound filling your brains. Perhaps imagine a nice Wilson Phillips song. “…till then baby, are you going to let them hold you down and say goodbye?”

Oh yeah, stay tuned for Part 2 of Dane’s Excellent Adventure, currently in post-production.

Dane’s Excellent Adventure – Part 1

Saturday, August 11th, 2012

Dane did take an excellent adventure this summer. His journey took him over 2900 miles and included countless hours spent philosophising and championing existential thought. After a 20 hour drive to Bozeman, the fun began. We’re talking level 10 fun, on a 1-10 scale.

Bozeman had outdoor games, fireworks, fishing, barbecuing, hikes, sleep deprivation, bear sightings, General Grievous sightings, beers, and other fun times.

The 37th annual 4th of July Extravaganza Bonanza was a raging success. Next year, we’ll have two new additions attending the festivities further fueling the good times.

Thank you to DJ Kiley P and her Christmas CD sound influences. The soundtrack was the soundtrack for the trip’s main driver (Daddy).

Wait for Part 2, where we explore something funny.

I think it was Socrates, years before the Socratic Method, that said, “Party on, Wayne!”

Dane visited some farm place. It was fun. He liked the animals, the tractor, and the train.

Dinosaurs, Trains, and Butterflies???

The summer of Daddy and Dane is coming to a close. (Of course, the endless summer lives on, but that’s a subject for another blog!)

Dane’s had tons of new experiences this summer and has been a busy boy. Mommy, Daddy, and Dane recently visited Santa Barbara where they checked out the Natural History Museum and a crummy Railroad Museum (made crummy by the mean lady not allowing Dane to ride a slow miniature train, as he was an inch too short). Dane, to make up for it, did get a cupcake. Go Dane!

Shot when Dane was in the belly, edited as a present for a day of Mommy’s birthday week, this hokie practice in video editing has at least a few decent shots. The battery went dead on the flip cam, which may have been a good thing? Oh well…

(Note – I’ve just noticed how hokie the title is and driven my car into the ocean! :-})

Influences for our next short, “Dane’s Excellent Adventure – Bill and Ted can suck it!” (Title yet to be approved by the boss (Mommy)!)
